ABBARCH Architecture Inc Announces New Staff Appointments

ABBARCH Architecture Inc is pleased to announce the appointment of their sixth Principal, Michelle Beggs as well as four new Associates, Sally Emmerson, Aaron Urion, Daniel Horner and Luc Melanson.

Michelle Beggs, Principal - Toronto Office
Located in the firm's Toronto office, Michelle Beggs is the sixth principal to join the corporation. In 1999, she graduated from Georgian College with honours and has over ten years of interior design experience. As an integral member of the Toronto office, Michelle has been directly involved with its rapid growth.

Sally Emmerson, RID, IDC, FRSA, Associate - Vancouver Office
Formerly the founding principal of Raven Design Consultants, Sally Emmerson leads the firm's Interior Design Division. With over 30 years of international design experience, Sally is well versed in various industry sectors such as institutional, education, retail, commercial and healthcare. Her innovative concepts and meticulous attention to detail have vastly contributed to the successful completion of several multi-million dollar projects throughout Canada and Europe. In 1976, Sally graduated with an honours degree from Kingston Polytechnic in England.

Aaron Urion, B.Arch., Associate - Vancouver Office
Aaron Urion graduated with distinction from Carleton University School of Architecture in 2003. As Project Manager and Architectural Designer at ABBARCH Architecture Inc, Aaron has demonstrated leadership in his responsibilities which consist of lead project design work, project management, client relations, team management, and computer based design work. Aaron has worked on a wide range of projects types and sizes including large-scale commercial and retail developments, residential tower and mixed use developments, large-scale service facilities, multi-purpose spectator facilities, and light rapid transit stations.

Daniel Horner, MAIBC, LEED® AP, NCARB, CSC, Associate - Vancouver Office
In 1976, Daniel graduated from Virginia Polytechnic and State University with a Bachelor of Architecture. Daniel has over twenty-five years of experience in the architectural field. Prior to joining ABBARCH Architecture Inc, he was principal with Horner & Associates. His project experience includes healthcare facilities, academic architecture and planning, non-profit organizations and office buildings. His current concentration is architectural specifications including all LEED® certified projects and construction document quality assurance.

Luc Melanson, AScT, Associate - Vancouver Office
Luc graduated from New Brunswick Community College in 1997, and has since worked in New Brunswick, Québec and British Columbia. Prior to moving to British Columbia, Luc was an Intermediate Technician for a prominent Québec firm, whose staple was institutional work. In 2001, he moved to BC, as a team captain, working mostly on educational facilities, retail and automotive dealership projects. Luc's primary role in the firm is to take drawings from the development permit stage through to completion. He has over twelve years of experience working in both English and French and is a project manager for several projects within the firm.
